Executive Director Jennifer Ramirez was interviewed by Carmen Shantz of Family Radio Network, broadcast in Soledad, CA on KFRS 89.9, spreading awareness of Partnership for Children services and talking about the impact of services on a local family.

“Then in spring, the Junior League helped PFC settle into its new offices on Abbott Street in Salinas by helping to move supplies, designing office layout and other necessary tasks. In March, Starbucks stores on the Peninsula held a diaper and coffee drive for PFC families, resulting in 44 packs of diapers, five packs of wipes, and 32 bags of coffee to distribute to local families.”

“‘It’s a really beautiful partnership,’ said Jennifer Ramirez, of Partnership for Children. ‘Because we are celebrating cars and the biggest thing that we do at Partnership for Children is provide access to medical care by providing rides, so it goes hand in hand.’”

“Rae — “Rae of Sunshine” to her friends and colleagues at Alvarado Street Brewery — died of heart failure in June. The brewery made a special Rae Day beer in her honor, with part of the proceeds benefiting Partnership for Children.”

“Since 2007, the nonprofit Partnership for Children has provided transportation and financial assistance for children on the Central Coast who require access to compassionate care.

These efforts were bolstered in August through a $105,000 grant from Hospice Giving Foundation, an independent foundation focused on end-of-life care and preparedness.”
